Sweet Nothings is Truman State University's premier gender inclusive a cappella group.  Formed in 2005, our ensemble has performed in the Kirksville community and across the state. In 2012 we placed 3rd  in the Midwest Quarterfinals of the International Competition for Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). We released a CD titled "Get Pitch or Die Tryin'" in the Spring of 2013.

You can find us rehearsing Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays in Ophelia Parrish. We share with each other not only the love of singing, a cappella music, and performance, but also the desire for true friendships, which helps the group perform well - both onstage, and in practice. We aren't a SNamily for nothing!

Currently there are 5 female voices and 1 male voice making up the Sweet Nothings' sound. A very involved group of students, Sweet Nothings also performs a huge variety of music, from obscure songs, to Disney music, to pieces by well - known artists across many genres.

Sweet Nothings usually requires about 4-5 hours of group rehearsal time per week, plus time spent outside learning parts. This is easy to manage for the members; most singers are involved in multiple other organizations and activities across campus, including professional fraternities and sororities, working, and social groups.
